The Junior Elite Lifeguard Camp- Senior Division, ages 13-15, is intended to develop future lifeguards. This program introduces lifeguard rescue, life support, and CPR/ First Aid skills. Jr Guards will also develop their swimming skills and endurance, perform practice scenarios, shadow lifeguards on their rotations, and participate with lifeguards during in-service trainings. Participants who complete the course can complete the course are eligible to compete in the Junior Lifeguard Games in July.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Recertification Course

This is a blended learning class with an online portion and a single in-person session.

Lifeguard Training Blended Learning Participants will receive a link to the online training material that must be completed BEFORE the first day of in-person training. This is a lifeguard Certification.
Prerequisite: Must be 15 or older by the start of class. Note: You must be 16 years or older to work for the City of Norman. Must complete the online training and bring proof of online course completion. Pass the swim Test: 300-yard swim, Tread Water for 2 minutes, and timed 25-yard swim with Brick.

In- Person Session Times:
Tues- Fri: 8 am- 5 pm

In-person trainings will be at the Westwood Family Aquatic Center
Online training information will be sent out by Erika prior to the class.
